No analytics, no ads, no mailing list. This is what we do keep, and why.

what we collect.

We collect very little. If you write to us, by email, through the contact form or with a brief, or book a call, we have what you sent: your name, your email address and your message or answers. If you browse the site, our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs, which include your IP address and the pages you asked for.

A brief is also saved in the site's database, so nothing gets lost. A contact note is only emailed to team@krnl.studio.

There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel and no tracking cookie. The site keeps your light or dark theme choice in your browser, and it never leaves it. The calendar for booking a call is Cal.com's: it loads only when you open it, or scroll to it on the contact page, and it sets a few cookies of its own on cal.com.

If you play one of our games, your browser keeps a random ID for your device, the name you play under and your game settings. Your runs are saved to the leaderboard under that name. If you claim a name, its PIN is stored only in scrambled form. We never store your IP address, only a scrambled version of it, used to stop the leaderboard being flooded.

how we use it.

To reply to you, and to do the work if we end up working together. If you sent an enquiry you will get a short acknowledgement from team@krnl.studio. We do not add you to a list.

who else sees it.

Nobody, apart from the services that carry it. Resend delivers contact notes and briefs by email. Cal.com runs the calendar for booking a free call: what you enter there goes to Cal.com and into our Google Calendar, and the call itself is on Google Meet. The site is hosted on Vercel, images and video are served from Cloudflare, and the games' leaderboard is kept on Supabase. Each of those sees the traffic that passes through it, under its own privacy terms. We don't sell or rent anything to anyone.

Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will. Write to team@krnl.studio.
