/01 Our Projects/
Every project here started with a problem worth solving. The design came after we understood what a good outcome actually looked like.
what you get.
/02 Services/
We don't offer services as a menu to pick from. We understand the problem first, then recommend what makes sense to build.
/03 Features/
you're in the work, not waiting on it.
We think out loud with you. The best outcomes come from both sides being in the problem, not one side surprising the other with a reveal.
Just saw the first draft. This is exactly what I was hoping for.
Good to hear. Want me to put together a second direction so you have something to compare?
Yes please. How soon can we get that?
Tomorrow afternoon. I'll send it with notes on the thinking behind each.

/04 Our Process/
the process is where most of the real work happens. design comes last.
Every project follows the same logic: understand before designing, diagnose before building. The deliverable is the last thing, not the first.
/05 About Us/
We built KRNL because making average work was never an option.
KRNL started from personal conviction, not a market gap. We got tired of watching good businesses get mediocre design because the people behind it didn't care enough.
So we built a different kind of studio: one where every project we take on is one we're genuinely invested in.
We're opinionated. We'll tell you when we think you're heading the wrong way. That obsession is exactly what makes the client work better.
the playground.
/06 Our Experiments/
Design made for its own sake. No client brief. No conversion goal. Just work that has something to say.
/05 FAQ/
the things worth knowing before we start.
Do you work with clients remotely?
Yes, entirely. Every project runs remotely: calls, async updates, shared files. Location has never affected the quality of the work.
Why Framer?
Framer gives us precise design control without the bloat. Sites are fast, visually exact, and easy for clients to manage after handoff. It also cuts time between design and live: what you see in the design is what goes live. For clients who care about how their site performs and looks, it's the right tool.
How involved do I need to be?
Meaningfully involved at the start and at review points, not constantly. Discovery needs your input: goals, context, what good looks like for you. After that, we work independently and bring you in when there's something real to react to. We don't pull you into every small decision.
Do you take on every project?
No. Before anything starts, we assess whether we can genuinely deliver value. If the project isn't a fit (wrong scope, wrong stage, or outside what we do well), we'll say so clearly. We'd rather decline early than take something on and deliver less than it deserves.
What do you need from me to get started?
A rough idea of what you're building, who it's for, and what a good outcome looks like. It doesn't need to be detailed. One conversation usually fills in the rest.
What makes KRNL different?
Most design work looks good but doesn't do anything. We care more about whether it works than whether it impresses. Every project starts with understanding the actual problem: what the business needs, who the user is, and what a good outcome looks like. The design comes after all of that. Not before.
